
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor. His breakout role was playing private detective Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (1980-1988) in the 1980-88 season, and was awarded the Emmy Award in 1985. From 2010 until 2010 Selleck has played the role of New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. Since 2005, he's been playing Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in small-town New York City. Also, he's been in nine TV movies that are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck also played the character of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and a Little Lady (90).
